new to distance education :(

    Hey everyone , well am new to this forum and i would like to continue here ....
    Actually am kinda new to distance learning and i find it too difficult ....
    I entered BCA (Bachelor of Computer Application ) English , math , social science and technology fine to me .... something i understand but the C programming , system software :( i donno its as if talkin another language :(
    So i thought mabe if i could find help here ..... :D I would be really thankful :D
    I have an assignment question that says,
    " Assume that you are appointed as system analyst for the development of a " Library Information System ( LIS) " . Develop SRS for it. Make necessary assumptions. Develop Design document for it too.
    Ummmmmm i did some search about SRS and it says that it fix some problems ..... ummm wat problems are there :S
    And is it somethin been typed or i wud do some designin and save it on a cd ....ummmmmmmmmm am sooooooo desperate ........ plz anyone help me ...

    no need to tell me da answer i just wanna know how :S

    I would think the best thing to do would be to ask your instructor what 'SRS' means.

    In the context of software development, SRS stands for "Software Requirements Specification".

    Usually the SRS is a quite lengthy document, for a typical project they get up to nearly 100 pages.:eek: However if this is an intro course they probably don't want you to write one of those yourself, and that of course includes charts, tables, lists, half-filled pages, etc. (The Software Design Specification, or design doc, is usually about the same.)

    Hopefully your professor or the course requirements give you more details than that regarding what they want you to do! If not, you'd better ask!
