In the context of software development, SRS stands for "Software Requirements Specification". Usually the SRS is a quite lengthy document, for a typical project they get up to nearly 100 pages. However if this is an intro course they probably don't want you to write one of those yourself, and that of course includes charts, tables, lists, half-filled pages, etc. (The Software Design Specification, or design doc, is usually about the same.) Hopefully your professor or the course requirements give you more details than that regarding what they want you to do! If not, you'd better ask!
