I am in need of help from the wise and mighty here.... I am looking for some type of online DL education course that is real cheap in tuition that I can obtain graduate credit. I am need this for FL certification and unfortunaltely none of my graduate science edu courses will do the trick. If there is any type of "Intro of Education" course or foundations in education at the graduate level...(which is what I was told I needed)... it has to be an accredited college/university too!!! Please let me know... Thanks Jay
Hi Jay, I recommend Peru State College in Peru, NE: http://www.hpcnet.org/peru/graduate They are RA and $162.50 per credit ($487.50 per 3-credit course). Courses are 8 weeks long and Fall 1 starts August 21. I've only taken 15 credits so far, but all of my courses were very good. I would highly recommend EDUC621 Curriculum Development if that satisfies your requirement; both the course and the instructor were excellent. If you can wait until the Fall 2 start on October 23, EDUC610 Current Issues in Education is also a good course. Even better, there is no application fee and only a one-time $10 enrollment fee, and neither of these courses requires a book. I hope this helps! Let me know if you need more information. Good luck! Shawn
The University of Florida offers online gradaute courses in education: http://education.ufl.edu/web/?pid=690 If I remember correctly, the tuition is over $800 per course for Florida residents, which is not super cheap.
Adams State has several Graduate level courses in Education: http://www2.adams.edu/extended_studies/independent/ Touro might work as well...I believe you can enroll as non-degree seeking: www.tourou.edu Hope this helps a bit!!
Heritage Insitute/ Antioch Hello, I am not enrolled and have no financial gain in the above. I think you may be able to bump some of their classes to grad level. Time is money in the education cert arena so it is worth try. Hille
