NCU & SCUPS = is it the same school?

Northcentral University continually explores ways to bring quality online
American education to people around the world. We examine countless
colleges and universities who would like to affiliate to find only those
that meet our standards. It appears that IUFS "jumped the gun" and
improperly reported an affiliation that does not exist.

Northcentral University has no partnership or any other agreement with the
International University of Fundamental Studies. Northcentral University
never had a partnership or articulation of any kind with IUFS or with any of
their associated schools, nor do we intend to have one with them or with any
of their affiliates. Northcentral University will not accept graduates,
courses or credits from these institutions since they are not accredited by
an agency recognized by the United States Department of Education.
Northcentral University has requested that they immediately remove all
mention of Northcentral University from their web sites and from any
literature they may have.

If you have any knowledge of any other institution or entities claiming
articulation or affiliation with Northcentral University, that is not listed
under "Partnership" on our web page, please notify me directly so we can
take corrective action.

We are very diligent about protecting our reputation and good name,
maintainig the quality of our programs and degrees, and protecting the
interests of our graduates and learners. Thank you for advising us of this
matter. We appreciate your diligence in helping us protect the fine
reputation that everyone at Northcentral University has worked so hard to
achieve.

Well I guess we got an answer!

Thanks for the update and clarifications!

This should put this matter to rest!

 

I still dont understand why NCU uses the same CATALOG as SCUPS and why their web site is soooo poor?

My original questions still remain unanswered -

 

They don't; they may use the same document template, but assuming the staff and administration of the two schools overlaps somewhat, I see no reason not to.

I have no problem with it; it isn't particularly beautiful (and could probably use some freshening up--if any NCU'ers are reading this, email me and I can recommend a really good web design company), but it does the job. At least all the necessary data is there, which is more than I can say for a lot of brick-and-mortar schools.
