    You're the top!
    You're the Great Houdini!
    You're the top!
    You are Mussolini!

It was the Left that recognized its own and embraced fascism. Until, that is, the fascist socialists began winning their battles with the other socialist factions.

Really, left or right, totalitarianism is totalitarianism and it leads inevitably to murder.

As to whether the Nazis were socialists, who cares? Certainly, keeping the workers happy was high on their agenda but so was giving MAJOR privileges to the big corporations. Think Krupp, for example.

Nazi's were National Socialist basically where the Nazi government subsidized the corporations and mandated direction. Germany today operates this way. Look at Mercedes and Freightliner to name a couple. Both, if not for government subsidy and mandate would be in Chapter 11.

Now this one is funny. Well, today's Neo Nazi's in America find solace with the ACLU, a highly left wing Democrat supporting organization.

For both, seems like the candidate today touting corporate love is Kerry, not Bush. Bush is too busy doing something, well, I don't know what he is busy doing, neither does he for that matter. And Kerry, well, I guess he is busy trying to sober up Teddy, if that is possible.

Vote for none of the above.
    3 choices.

The spoiled born again reformed cocaine drunk driver
The spoiled abortion loving catholic who is pro life on sunday who wants to tax gas even higher or
The old communist Nader looking for Lenin

Is there anyway we can re-start Reagan or revive Truman?

I think it does matter for the fact that few have been exposed to any political thought outside of the false dichotomy of the Left-Right political spectrum.

No graphical representation can capture full human variance but the Nolan Chart does, IMO, the best in capturing the full political web.

As I see it, whether you begin in denying either social or economic freedom you end in having to deny both to maintain control. That becomes the totalitarianism we rather arbitrarily label as Left or Right. As for fascism and communism, well..."Two rabid socialist dogs fighting over one collectivist bone."

Thanks for sharing the "Nolan Chart" - it certainly does provide a different perspective that seems far more realistic in terms of understanding.

I LIKE that! I have no way, beyond a fairly decent knowledge of history, to judge whether it is accurate, but it certainly rings true!
