This organization in The Gambia appears to act as both as an approver and accreditor of schools, both public and private. Note that their website redirected me to a commercial interstitial so I'm not liking to them on the Board but the URL is naqaa dot gm and they rank highly in Google.

It appears that registration/accreditation with them bestows degree-granting authority, but it's not clear if that qualifies as the kind of CHEA-approved accreditation we might think of.

How would one go about determining if a qualification earned at one of these schools would be considered "accredited" (side-stepping the issue of RA equivalence), short of taking one there and sending it to WES?

I suppose a broader question: how do the NACES members begin an evaluation on an unfamiliar institution in an unfamiliar country?
