    Hello all,

I am considering doing an online M.S. in M.I.S. (Management Information Systems) or in C.I.S. (Computer Information Systems). I prefer RA but NA is fine for me. May I ask if any of you have any suggestions in mind? Thanks in advance!

Are you more interested in the technical side of computer science or the management end, whether project or people?

I can highly recommend the MS in MIS program at the University of Illinois - Springfield. The program is currently 11 classes / 44 credit hours but in the fall 2009 semester switches to 12 classes / 36 credit hours. For the spring tuition was $283.25 a semester hour. The program is regionally and AACSB accredited, and requires the GMAT as part of admissions requirements.

What is matter to you the most? Between tuition or top notch school?

Thanks very much for the suggestions. Naios, I don't actually have a very specific target in mind. I have considered doing a rather technical MS (like one in IT/IS) but while I love tech stuff it seems to me that the more technical the contents of a degree program, the quicker it becomes "outdated" (please correct me if I'm wrong)... All I can think of is that it would be great if the program is not too biased toward the tech side... (sorry, I know I sounded like a bit lost -- and I am indeed!)

Tekman, you got me a good question. I don't think I am looking for a top-notch or Ivy League... I would prefer a nice curriculum instead with affordable tuition. Would just be great if it's RA... not that I am having any problems with NA but because I already have two NA masters, one MBA in e-business and another in criminal justice, both from Columbia Southern.

    Any ideas? Thanks again!

Hello dlcurious, I just checked UIS's MSMIS program but I believe there are residency requirements, am I correct?
