I have a Masters in Library Science and work as a public library director in Dallas/ Fort Worth, but am giving serious thought to creating a second stream of income for myself and/or increasing my income potential (student loans don't magically dissapear when you defer them for awhile).

A Masters of Public Administration makes sense I think for three reasons:

    1. Looks good on a resume for anyone working in government
    2. If I ever wanted to switch over to academic library work, it would be a second masters as if often required.
    3. I could potentially use it to work as a adjunct instructor.

Here is my question: with adjunct work in mind, does it make a big difference if the MPA courses have a "political science" prefix to the course name (ex. POSI 5301, etc.)? Online progams I'm looking at include some that have the prefix, and others that dont. Arkansas State and Sam Houston do, while UT-Arlington does not. Interestingly, UT-Arlington is the stronger of those programs and NASPAA accredited, while Sam Houston is not.
