What say you? Instructional Tech? Psych? Leadership? Ed Admin? What's the most marketable Ed.D. strictly for adjunct teaching on the side?
I say that if you actually want that Masters in Speech Pathology then you focus on that and let the EdD slide for a bit.
Honestly? None of the above. If adjunct gigs are your goal you'll get further by taking 18 graduate semester-hours in Statistics, Finance, or Accounting and going after spots teaching those courses to undergrads.
Oh I agree 100%. It was just a thought that popped into my head after finding a program in FL that also offered an Ed.D. in Speech Path. I guess I was thinking WAY ahead in the future!
How does one go about getting graduate semester hours in anything? I have a Masters in Psych from a brick and mortar university, and I would dearly love to round it out with stuff that is more marketable for adjunct teaching, such as forensic psychology or industrial-organizational psychology or statistics. Though don't adjunct teaching positions also want real life experience??? And in Psych it seems they all want PhDs, not Masters.
