Relinquishing DI moderation role Please note that I have relinquished my role as moderator on Degreeinfo, in its current form, effective immediately. Cheers, George
Sorry to read that George. You are one of the most reasonable people on these forums. I guess we still have supermoderator.
I am most saddened by the news. I thought you did well. I sincerely hope you continue to contribute and look forward to your future posts.
God bless you, George. You have my highest regard. I hope we cybermeet again under happier circumstances. Waiting for the better day, Janko Preotul
My Resignation Due to a matter of competing priorities I find myself compelled to resign as a Moderator on this board. I would like to thank those who offered support as well as those who offered criticism. I have learned from you all. Best wishes. Jack
This is awful to see two moderators leave in a matter of a day. I thought you did an excellent job,but I understand why you are resigning.
Re: My Resignation You were a great Moderator Jack, please continue to participate in this forum. That goes for George Brown as well. Thank you gentleman! Abner
Bravo.... to what TimD and Abner have said above. To George and Jack: Good morning. You will be sorely missed as DI Moderators. You were great in that role, and although I do understand, I am sorry to see you give up those functions. But please, do not give up on participating here on DI! Miss you, I will, as Moderators, but I refuse to miss your valuable and often excellent posts on DL and online education, here at DI. Thanks for everything, Gentlemen! Carry on, all! Thanks.
Re: My Resignation Being a moderator is not about power (though some think it is). Also, being a moderator is much tougher on a busy forum than what most people realize. People constantly PM you with real complaints... and you (as a moderator) have to address each and every one of them. So you may log-on expecting to enjoy yourself and visit all your favorite websites to make a few postings, but instead you get tangled-up in answering all those PMs for 30 minutes each and every day. It's much tougher than what most people realize!!! And if a post is deleted, people get very angry!!! Resolving problems is almost impossible, which creates stress for those involved.

God bless you, Jack. I respect utterly your wisdom and integrity. Honour cheaply sold is expensively regained. Tot siens, Janko Preotul
Jack, you are a major loss. It really pities me to see you go. I hope you still stick around, and somehow keep linked to the board (even if it is just as a regular poster...).
It is entirely wrong to continue to list George and Jack as moderators in the opening page of the individual forums. I reiterate my great respect for George and Jack and my best wishes to them. I have every confidence that they know what they are doing.
