    I should have taken bets.

And, by the way... I'm taking you at your word that they're back. I haven't looked, myself... and I'm not even tempted.

Are you tempted to go read hate speech over on some skinhead web site? Or whatever other kind of awfulness on whatever other kind of awful site? Of course not. How is Military Forums different?

I so wish I could get everyone else around here to appropriately relegate those other fora to the place where they belong: In the trashcans -- not the recycle bins, mind you, but the trashcans -- of your minds.

I am a little late on this discussion since the militaryforums site has been re-registered. However I felt the need to point out the militaryforums site is nothing more than a web based front end for Usenet newsgroups. On the main page you can see which Usenet newsgroup maps to which militaryforums forum.

After reading some of the garbage on that site, I am thankful that there is at least one safe haven for DL discussions on the Internet.

True. The distance learning part of Military Forums is just a gateway to AED. Nothing new there. In that sense, it's little different from the Google Groups interface to usenet and, specifically, for our purposes, here, AED...

...except that, among other differences, on Military Forums one can post truly anonymously... er... well... at least they think they can. Push-come-to-shove, true anonymity there is an illusion. But that's why so many of the millists, shills, trolls and others nefarious use it.

Depends on who's doing the discussing. Indeed, DegreeInfo is safe...

...except for millists, shills, trolls and others nefarious.
