MBA Pay: Exclusive new research shows that grads of top business schools earn far more than lesser-ranked peers, both at graduation and over the long haul. Businessweek mba-pay-top-schools-top-dollar: Personal Finance News from Yahoo! Finance Harvard University Median cash compensation for Harvard graduates Less than two years' experience: $133,000 10 years' experience: $182,000 20 years' experience: $232,000 Career total: $3,867,903
This is in no way surprising. The elite jobs have always gone to those from the elite institutions. Harvard especially has such name recognition that anyone with a degree from there is considered to be better than other candidates. With compensation like that, the 6 figure cost of the degree could be paid back relatively easily.
I agree, we always knew about this . Its nice to see a research that backs what we know and to see some numbers as they apply to 2010.
