Hello everyone, a very good friend of mine asked me the following question, is it a good idea to get a masters in Information Technology Management, with no IT experience? I did not know how to answer to that one, I guess, my gut feeling says no. He wants a career change into the IT management feel, he does have extensive management experience - over 10 years - however, very little IT experience, less than a year, I think. Anyhow, I told him that I would do some minor research for him, and hopefully point him on the right path, with your help of course :) I myself think he should get an MBA or a masters in accounting, but what do I know. Thank you very much!!!

Well, I would put it this way. Master in Information Technology Management does not mean managing only technology, but also humans as well. The Technology Management degree emphasize in technical plus his management skills would help him a lot in shifting his career to different direction.

Frankly, it worth to get any degrees...but the reality is what you're going to do with it?
