I'm planning to get an MBA and considering Texas A&M Commerce, Texas A&M San Antonio, University of Dallas, Lamar University, University of Houston Victoria, University of Iowa. I have been accepted by UD, Lamar Univ and UHV. Which school is worth attending? I'm planning a career change and would like to get a finance degree. I was leaning towards TExas A&m Commerce MBA and was wondering what is the reputation of the school in general? thanks,
Are you a Texas resident? If so, I'd look at your local schools first, then the highest ranked national schools that fall within your budget. I'm in the Houston area and none of the local schools really stood out to me as offering something special so I enrolled at the U. of North Dakota, which offers in-state tuition rates to on-line only students.

Seeing as I went to graduate school in Boston, I can't comment on the competitive differences of these schools. My best advice for you, though, is to make sure that your work experience is well-detailed. Business schools love knowing what you've done outside of the classroom.
My Alma mater Texas A&M University - Commerce MBA or MSM program is fantastic. Professors were good, the Business school staff is very supportive. I attended graduation in May 2012 and loved the campus. My Cap and Gown(pressed by the bookstore staff) was waiting for me when i went to the campus. Had a great experience and lots of learning. You will not regret attending this great school. The degree is AACSB accredited and is respected all over the world.
