Forgive me if this thread has been handled before but I couldn't seem to find it by searching.

I have heard there are legitimate colleges that grant partial or full credit towards a Masters based on taking the GRE subject test. Can someone point me toward them?

I'm interested in the GRE Literature test.

    Thanks.

I'd be very surprised if that were true. Grad schools that use GRE exams use them for admissions decisions. Schools that award credit for the GRE subject exams award undergraduate credit. US and Canadian grad schools (even Excelsior College's grad school) require you to take courses from them, and only allow you to transfer a small number of credits in. They don't give you "fulll credit towards a Master's".

    They're GRE-E-E-A-A-T!

Sorry, I had to do that.

    Hi Deb
I took both the Lit in English GRE and the Psych GRE for my COSC degree. I was awarded 18 credits each at an undergraduate level. It would seem odd to give credit for these exams for masters level due to their purpose of qualifying individuals to BEGIN grad study.
I haven't heard of this and I would be surprised if there were a RA college that granted such credit.

    Good luck
