I am a recent graduate of SUNY Empire State College with a B.S. in Cultrural Studies. I have a number of years broadcasting experience, but would like to be able to teach radio/tv or journalism at the community college level. I would like to pursue a Masters Degree in Communications, but I can't seem to find any distance learning options that will work for me.

I would like to find an accredited school in the USA, with little or no residency required. Communications would be my first choice, but would consider also consider a degree in Journalism.

The two closest schools that fit my purposes are Regent University and The New School, both of which are too expensive for me to pursue.

Any advice or knowledge of any other programs which match my criteria?

It is not exactly communications, but Amberton University has 21 credits worth of communication classes that can be worked into its masters programs.

    Texas Tech
    U of Northern Iowa
There's a Masters program in Journalism at
    U of Memphis

You can get a very afordable Master of Liberal Studies (MLS) with a major in communications and/or related fields at Fort Hayes State University. RA masters don't get much cheaper. Feedback on the school here has been very positive.

    Blessings

    Newhouse at Syracuse

It's private and expensive, but it's a very fine institution.
