    It's probably all about money

Check out the cost of Elizabethtown: Tuition, fees and financial aid . $39,950 per year (31K is tuition)! Someone probably spread the word about LSU and the students were saving a lot of money (that Etown was losing) as transients.

WOW- for the price of freshman year with them, one could get all of:

    AACSB MBA (JSU): $9,000

    M.A. Interdiciplinary Studies (WNMU): $5,500

    M.A. Psychology (UMass) $15,000

And still have $9,500 left for that muched deserved two-year-long vacation in the Dominican Republic, with a few thousand still more to spare.

Don't get me wrong: I have nothing against ETC. They may be a good SLAC for all I know. I object to their snub of credits that come from a Tier I research university, when not a single one of their accounting faculty is even qualified to teach there (or in any SACS-accredited four year school).

Seriously, what is the purpose of that place? 40K-a-year, nonelite small liberal arts college? To shelter rich kids who don't have brains for Yale from the horrors of a state university?

This is hilarious and yet pathetic. Especially when you consider that LSU distance programs have likely produced more successful CPA exam candidates in the past year than Elizabethtown College has in its entire existence.
