Looking for distance or online psych school for one course

    A friend of mine is moving to Florida. She will apply for licensure as a marriage and family therapist. Below is her plea. Can anyone help?

    "Florida requires that I take a graduate course in personality theories. i need to complete it, 3 credit hours, by mid-june."

    A quick keyword search at http://www.lifelonglearning.com/ turned up several possibilities. Athabasca University offers Introduction to Personality Theories and Issues; University of Maryland University College offers Personality Theories; University of Florida offers Personality.

    She should check with whatever entity is requiring her to take this course -- what will they accept?

    Check out Liberty University. Courses are delivered via VHS tape and set up to meet LPC requirements. Get her to check and make sure or ask the folks at Liberty (did a good comprehensive booklet of state by state requirements). http://liberty.edu I believe Liberty is flexible with start times.

    Where does your friend live now and when is she going to florida?
    I ask this because it is not uncommon for military bases to have continuing education
    programs (Masters and Bachelors programs)that anyone can attend in the evening. There is also several Florida based colleges that have some online components.
