ad hominem attacks coupled with assertions sans facts, tendering value judgments as if axioms; presupposing the moral high ground. Gosh, these online degreed thinkers really do ape the majority of the B&M academics. yawn.

    Rich,

For someone who admittedly does not listen to the show, I find it interesting that someone with as many degrees as you purport in your signature would be intellectually dishonest enough to say "the bile he spews."
What makes you think it's "bile" if you don't even know what he says (i.e. you don't listen). I on the other hand not only listen to Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, Chris Beckham, Herman Cain, etc. but I also listen to Howard Stern, Alan Colmes, and several others. When afforded the opportunity I call in to the shows and debate when they (any of them) say something I believe to be false, especially when I have evidence to back up my claim.

What evidence do you present to back up your claim of "the bile he spews"???

There's a difference between not listening to the show, and never having heard the show. I don't listen often to conservative talk radio, but on those rare occasions I do it doesn't vary from form, they all seem to have the same smarmy know-it-all "we're so smart and the liberals are so dumb" attitude. And I say that as a strong free market proponent: I should like at least half of what those guys say, but their tone is so divisive and arrogant that I can't stand them. That goes doubly for Mark Levin and his incredibly grating voice -- it's like having Vizzini from The Princess Bride lecture me about "the liberals!"

Of course a liberal never has those attitudes. When in fact its the first thing that seems to be said against conservative in they are stupid, uneducated etc. I hate this attitude on both sides.

We were specifically talking about conservative talk radio, so I focused on that, but I agree that this is a problem across the board. Even worse is when people try to assign psychological diagnoses to those with whom they disagree.
