    To mcdirector,

Yes, I did find the good stuff, which I do appreciate, but where did this guy (Libertarian Larry) come from?

I don't mind some good nature ribbing or joking around, but his comments seem to be bit off the wall.

I hope not all libertarians are like him, that would make him worse than far left Liberals! HAHAHAHA!!;) "Just kidding!":D

    To uncle janko, greetings,

You are absolutely right, I do apologize to all the real Libertarians out there.

When I made this little joke, and it was made with the intent of being made in a good nature, I had not noticed or realized at the time, how many nasty, rude and very uncalled for posts made by this person/troll.

To respond to the OP, and get things back on track, the actual diploma is standard, AFAIR.

I earned it in 1991, and maybe have looked at it 2-3 times after receipt.

Since then, I have a MAR, JD, LLM, and MS, which equally remain unframed and in the original shipping containers! But none of the subsequent degrees would have been possible had not LHBI awakened the academic desires and spirit of service.

Please, go for it for the education, not the certificate, or even academic credit. LHBI opened many, many doors in my life. I took it at a time where I was without direction. It is a good deal if it supplies what you want.

    Otherwise, look elsewhere.

    A quick run-down of my LHBI experience….

After a long summer of almost nothing but studying, I finally finished the LHBI program. My goal was to get done before the main school year re-started, and I just made it!

When my certificate and transcripts arrived, I was surprised to learn that the program was worth 42 (not 24) credits. I enrolled in the LHBI program to acquire knowledge about the Bible, not to earn college credits. However, it is great to know that they are there should my plans ever change.

Some details about the program: All exams are multiple-choice. The midterms are open book, but the finals are closed book and proctored. After you listen to the assigned audio tapes, you can prepare for exams by using the study guides. You can also use the whole E-Bible software program and the DVDs as study aides.

The certificate says Liberty University on it. And the LHBI transcript lists the grade and credit hours earned for each course. The only thing missing is a GPA calculation.

I thought the program was great, and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it. In fact, since I enjoyed the lectures so much, I often listen to the cassettes on my way to school or whenever I have free time.

    I forgot to mention…

The program costs $950 if you pay in full and $1,250 if you want to pay in installments. I decided to pay in full so that I could get the E-Bible for free.

Also, there is no completion deadline, so you can take as long as you want. However, if you set a strict schedule and adhere to it, you can finish up in no time.

When I first enrolled, I didn’t think I would be able to finish as quickly as I did. Luckily, I found the lectures to be quite enjoyable, so I got into a groove.

Finally, the people at LHBI were really nice. I didn’t call that often, but when I did, they were pretty helpful. I didn’t have the same problem as DesElms with the phone system, so maybe I just got lucky?
