http://www.prof.faithweb.com/ We see him here superimposing himself next to Castro. http://prof.faithweb.com/byron.html Here he reaches out to Toe University alumni. Toe University?? Is there such a thing? To all psych majors or psychologists out here, what do you make of people like "Dr. Goldblatt"? Thanks
From the second link, there is a listing of degrees. Not very encouraging at all. Toe university seems to have virtually no web-presence (the only links are mainly misspellings of "the university" or "Chris Toe University President" (Strayer))
Wow, talk about a blast from the past . . . Old-timers on the board will recognize Leland's name from the old AED (alt.education.distance) Usenet group, where he was one of the more fun degree mill proponents to hang out with us. To this day, no one has ever figured out who Leland is (it's not his real name), but he was a funny guy who, forunately, never took himself too seriously. If he reads this, perhaps he'll make an appearance here (but I wouldn't hold my breath). Bottom line: Leland Milton Goldblatt is a figment of his own imagination. He doesn't exist.
When discussing different diploma mills on aed, Dr. Dr. Dr. Goldblatt Ph.D. Ph.D. would frequently claim to have a degree from whatever diploma mill was currently the topic and then try to defend the place. Some people had a theory that he was a persona that was passed around or shared between multiple people.
I think he's the alter ego of Alexander Swift Eagle Justice, PhD...or ASEJ is an alter-ego of Leland Milton Goldblatt, PhD. If they're actually not one and the same person, wouldn't ya love to sit in a room on a comfortable couch listening to those two guys--assuming they actually exist--share reminisces about their lives hobnobbing with foreign potentates and high-powered academics and alien life forms?
I remember the pictures of his wife/girlfriend whatever. In fact, I think there were several. I also think he "conferred" adegree on one of them. He provided a lot of entertainment.
IIRC, someone figured out that "Leland" was a group of NYU students having some fun. At one point, they used the photo of someone on the FBI's Most Wanted List, saying it was him.
