I have searched the threads concerning the foreign language programs taught by UNISA. I am most interested in learning Arabic. I found several threads relating to that.

However, my specific question is if anyone has had any experience in learning a foreign language through UNISA. It is done through books alone, DVD, internet? I checked the UNISA website and could not find a thing about the mode of delivery.

    Thanks for anyone with info!

Very interesting question. I would be interested in the answer too. I've been tempted several times to enroll in their Portuguese program, but the process of actually enrolling in the school is quite daunting and not well administered. However, they have switched to an online application process which might make it a bit easier.

I would suggest getting in touch with the Unisa agent in Vancouver, Dr Michael Esselen, who handles all registrations etc for North America. There is never a problem since he works directly with the Registrar. There is a one time small fee but it is worth it. I never went directly to the offices in RSA, I dealt with Vancouver.
