For the Media Indiana University supports KWU's lawsuit against Oregon Backgrounder - Setting the record straight Legitimate school or diploma mill? ____________________________________________________ Just thought I would post these links. Comments? Indiana State supports KWU? I wonder if they will accept transfer credits, or KWU degrees?
I did not write it, I am reporting here what is on KWU's For The Media page. Here is the list of the Academic Council that obviously stand behind the academic integrity of KWU, and its practices. George Doherty, M.S. Mississippi State University Takis Kourouniotis, M.S. University of Colorado Kevin McFarlane, Ph.D. Nova Southeastern John McKieman, Ph.D. University of Iowa Keren Meister-Emerich, M.S. University of Wyoming Patricia Noonan, M.P.A. San Diego State University Cynthia Paine, M.A. University of Wyoming Andree Swanson, M.A. University of Phoenix Ted Coleman, Ph.D. Purdue University Kim Farah, Ph.D. University of Massachusetts, Lowell Alan Proffit, Ph.D. University of Arkansas Richard Wilson, Ph.D. Texas Southern University
That is true, but they are being either dishonest or poor readers. Neither seems to be a quality to be admired in a university. It is clearly taken from a student newspaper and is not the official position of the university. Tom Nixon
My thoughts too. Here is the story from the IDS news. "OUR VIEW Employers, not the states, should safeguard themselves against phony diplomas. " Not exactly supporting KWU.
Click on the link For the Media and look at the lower right of the page, and you will see where KWU made the headline, not me!
Kennedy-Western University's Web site (as per the link provided by plcscott), under the heading "News," includes the following link : 8/5/04 - Indiana University Supports KWU Lawsuit Against Oregon (the same title and link that plcscott provided).
Yes, exactly -- KWU writes "Indiana University" and plcscott writes "Indiana State." Not the same. Though both are equally wrong.
Yes that was an accident, I see what you are saying now. Either way the title on KWU's website suggest that Indiana University supports the KWU lawsuit. Is that what this article is stating? Does Indiana University support the KWU lawsuit, or is this title misleading?
IU does NOT! First from: http://www.idsnews.com/subsite/about/ And even the editorial staff was not infavor of KWU, but only against the wording of the law: So like much of what THOSE kind of schools say, the KWU insinuation was wrong, misleading, and an attempt to legitimize the illegitimate.
