How one can tell if the degree wasn't backdated?

Most of the mills back date degrees.

Not that I say that Kensingthon is a mill.

I am aware of the millish practice you mention.

I have no idea of the merits or demerits, truth or falsehood, of the information which these individuals have placed about themselves or permitted their schools or other employers to place on the internet.

All I did, and all I intended to do, was to see what I would find if I did a Daysonesque google for Kensington University and look at the types and dates of credentials attributed to its graduates. Once I looked through the first ten pages of search results, I figured that I had found enough graduates to get a notion of what was out there.

(I make no statistical or technical survey claims, since I know nothing whatever about statistics.)

I omitted the names since I was interested, not in this or that individual, but in the track record of the school itself.
