Two years ago today, I suffered a brutal seizure while coaching at a judo tournament. It led to my decision to retire from government. My coach always has a bit of philosophy for us at the end of each class. My favorite goes like - What is it that we all, Judoka, have in common. Answer: We all get thrown. So, we get up. Fix our jacket and get read to go again. I'm praying thanksgiving today. I'm so very grateful for the opportunity to be who I aspire to be, and accomplish what I hope to accomplish.
