"He showed a bound copy of the document, entitled Target: Main Street, USA (Is Government Ready for Urban Violence or Terrorism). It was 307 pages and included a bibliography that cited 14 articles, seven reports, three books and three transcripts as sources."

He literally stood by his work.

It is so interesting with his fake degrees he went on to have a decent career, and except for this blip, he may still end up in Congress. Not too shabby i will say.

A doctoral dissertation that lists three books in its bibliography. Hot stuff. The woman in charge of approving work at LaSalle told the New Orleans Times-Picayune that she tossed the dissertations down the stairs and the ones that went the furthest got the highest marks.

Of relevance: after the founder of LaSalle was indicted on 18 or 19 counts of fraud, conspiracy, and tax evasion, pleaded guilty, and went to federal prison, the US Attorney for New Orleans wrote (twice) to every graduate (more than 15,000) telling them their school was a phony and offering a refund (from the more than $10 million the FBI recovered) if they renounced their degree and turned in their diploma. More than half, presumably including this congressional candidate, declined the offer and continue to claim their degrees.
