The party, and independents who support the party's ticket at the presidential level, will rally to Vice President Harris just fine. President Biden's unique "bridge" presidency will be warmly appreciated.
I personally have no issue with Kamala Harris. But what worries me about her being the nominee is how she will do against Trump with the Republican voters who voted for Trump in the past and don’t want to vote for him again. (I know a few in my own family). They were comfortable voting for Biden *this time*, but I don’t think they are as willing to vote for her.
I agree with that. Unfortunately, we have people who just have their hang ups with strong intelligent women.
I know. I just wish there was a person who could be undeniably fit for office that republicans could also feel comfortable with. The Trump/Vance ticket is a living nightmare. I don’t understand how so many people have been pulled in to this garbage. The most baffling is the Evangelical Christians he won over. Who ARE these supposed Christians? Have they ever even read the Bible? DJT is the absolute opposite of any of the qualities of Jesus. He does have many qualities of the Antichrist as listed in the Bible. You would think that anyone who has read and believes in the Bible would recognize DJT for the despicable human that he is. Instead they fall for his Bible stunts (holding one in his hand and helping to market one edited by his friend). Would he even have a chance at winning without these people?
Good question. The only answer that I can come up with is that they are pleased about abortion being banned in half of the country. They now want it banned across the whole country.
Their view of God is one of vengeance, punishment, and judgment. A friend told me that her mother-in-law went to evangelical churches all her life and never heard that God loves her until she was 80 years old and visited an Episcopal church.
