Thanks Bobby Jim. Holding my breath as a b/m school might give me as many as 80 credits since we went by quarters. Not too hopeful after last time.

    Test response
    *
Below is the response I received.
    *
“I looked at the document you attached.* Thomas Edison State College does not accept the SACS Council on Occupational Education accreditation, which is how the school was accredited when the student attended (1981 – 1983).** The school received regional accreditation in 1998.* TESC will accept credit in transfer from candidate schools up to 5 years prior to their achieving accreditation because it usually takes 5 years to get initial accreditation.* But we will not go back earlier than the candidacy period.
She can appeal it to the Office of the Registrar – to the Registrar.”
    *
"I would appeal Procedures and Appeal Guidelines for Transfer Credit Evaluations
Try the National College Credit Recommendation Service http://www.nationalccrs.org/.* If this organization will recommend college credit based on your transcripts from The Fashion and Art Institute of Dallas we will accept their evaluation."

Any suggestion? I had my interview today and they are recommending me for a final interview if I can get this figured out!

I appreciate your reply but I don't see on the page why TESC won't take them, where i says they arent sacs. But nevermind. So I should consider regional schools who accept NA credits?

I graduated from TESC, they won't accept NA credits, they will accept credits from NA schools if they are ACE accredited and on an ACE transcript, but that doesn't apply here. They say in the second sentence what accreditation your school had, which is NA, and do say in the 3rd sentence about the school not receiving RA until 1998. The link I gave you explains that the accrediting organization was NA, not RA.

Yes, you should find RA schools that will accept NA credits. I personally would try Liberty University first.

The simplest answer to your question is yes, you need look for a RA school that accepts NA credits.

Actually, you need to look at the RA schools which accept the max number of ‘alternative’ methods of earning credit for what you already know - NA credit transfers, portfolio by any name, testing, experiential, ACE and/or credits by any method possible. Local is a good place to start, and then move out if options decrease.

If tuition assistance is available, you probably don't need to look at ‘drive-out’ cost for a degree. If TA is not available, then obviously cost may be a factor. But if your objective is to finish an approved RA degree, then teacher certification - as fast as possible, then I may have understood correctly.

    OK? :yo:

    Best to you,
    BobbyJim

Ive applied to Wgu, brick/morter school, sent my transcripts to prob 20 schools, including liberty thank you, w/out $. I'm obviously probably not going to get an answer by my next interview. I have done all I know to do, I will just have to ask for their patience and if they really want me perhaps it would work out. I have proven my worth and talent in the work world. I have so many regrets: I tried to get my dad to support my switching to a well known state school after my first year at aid but he didn't want to help me beyond one more year. Then I got married and worked and just hoped, like many middle aged people, that it wouldnt be an issue. So if I had gone to that school, I wouldn't have had my son and daughter, as she pointed out, because I wouldn't have met my husband at my first job (since I would've still been in school). So I am going to stop driving myself crazy over this issue. Maybe it wasn't meant to be.

I understand your frustration. You are obviously a prize candidate otherwise they wouldn't be working with you at all.

    Liberty

Liberty has done an unofficial transcript transfer and will accept all but 54 hours for a degree in interdisciplinary studies! Whoo hooo!

So I see I need a 2nd cognate (minor) so it looks like since they accept cleps etc to fulfill their 24 in-house classes rule I should maybe do business to bring down the 18k cost?
Anyone here have an opinion on Liberty?

I am still waiting to hear from Charter Oaks. I wonder if they accept non raw FEMA credits?

I should be on my way soon, cross your fingers for me.

    Thanks everyone!

The only issue that usually pops up with Liberty is their religious material interwoven in to the program. I have taken graduate courses there and enjoyed them.

Final word finally! They took mt credits at Liberty and at UNT! I'm sooooo happy. Liberty is going to be able to apply them to a degree plan better so I'll need 54 more credits. So I'm going with them!
Appreciate all the help from the bottom of my heart!
