Israel carrying out ‘precise strikes’ on military targets in Iran
IDF says airstrikes – 4 weeks after Iran fired 200 ballistic missiles at Israel – are response to regime’s attacks; US backs Israeli ‘self-defense’; no change to home front guidelines

The great thing about the strike is that Israel destroyed all the Iranian air defenses in just a few dozen minutes with ZERO loss of Israeli jets. So Iran is now sitting there completely defenseless with their pants down, stunned, and embarrassed by it all. It will be hard to repair and I don't think Russia is going to be so forthcoming with replacements since they have their own worries right now. But even if Russia did provide replacements they would have to be far superior or the new defenses could be destroyed anytime Israel decided to attack again. So the bottom line is that Iran cannot afford to attack Israel again. It has been demonstrated what a pathetic worthless mess the Iranian defenses are. Even if Iran wanted to attack again, it's clear that Israel would get the better of any further exchanges.

It also demonstrates the vast superiority of the US military equipment over Russian equipment.

With key air defenses disabled and Hezbollah weakened, Tehran knows the IAF could come back for more.
That might prompt it to push for the bomb, and Israel to try to stop it.
The equipment is a mix of US and Israeli.
First time revealed, Israel deployed female fighter pilots as part of its air force squadron that conducted retaliatory strikes against Iranian military sites early Saturday, 2 female pilots and 2 navigators participated in the operation.

The key to Israel overwhelming the Iranian defense was the American F35 stealth jets.

    Indeed, no arguing here.
But Israel does strip alot of electronics and computing replacing with their own.
They modify the F35s, F16s etc.

    For example:
The F-16I is fitted with Israeli-designed conformal fuel tanks that extend the jet's flight range by increasing the fuel it can hold by 50%. The placement of the tanks also allows the wings' inner store stations, which are typically utilized for external tanks, to be available for weapons storage.

According to Lockheed Martin spokesperson Eric Schnaible, Israeli modified F-35 are in three main areas: command, control, communications, computers, and intel- ligence (C4I), electronic warfare, and weapons integration. Initially, the US refused to allow Israeli modifications to the F-35.

This article includes a very impressive list of "locally developed" military equipment.

List of equipment of the Israel Defense Forces
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_equipment_of_the_Israel_Defense_Forces

It doesn't look like to me there was anything on that list that was likely used in the recent spanking of Iran though.

    Intelligence, strategy, tactics.
Israel had good intelligence about the location of S400 systems that Iran purchased from Russia for 3 billion$.
But not all systems locations real time.
Israel fired missiles that triggered s300 and s400 to intercept, revealing their real time location.
    IAF took them down.
    Russia can't provide new ones.
Israel dominated Iranian air 2 to 3 hours.
Damaged missile production sites and test sites.
And this paved a way for posible next strike if Iran strikes again or there is credible intelligence of posible Iranian strike.
US provides superior weapons and intelligence.
Any successful implementation in the field, increases orders from US manufacturers.
F16s and F35s used are Israeli modified versions.

Yes, all true. Interesting that they had to pay 3 billion for the Russian S400 systems. I had no clue that they paid that much.

I still stand by my statement though that "It also demonstrates the vast superiority of the US military equipment over Russian equipment."

I can't stop thinking about this. It just tickles me pink that Iran paid so much to Russia for their S400 systems. Destroyed in the blink of an eye. Ali Hosseini Khamenei is probably freaked out. He needs to move, probably best for him to sleep in a different place each night, at least that's my advice. :D

    Wow
Wow, so progressive. Now women can also commit war crimes that used to be reserved just for male soldier. #Feminism

Cheerleading for the ayatollahs? Wow, so progressive.

Israel flew missions that hit military targets in Iran to neutralize Iran's capability to keep firing missiles at them, so apparently your definition of "war crime" is anything done by a country you hate.

I didn’t call this incident a war crime, I was just saying they broke through the glass ceiling and can now do war crimes that their male counterparts have been doing. #Feminism #Progress

Defending their own homeland and striking enemy is not war crime.
Terrorists and their supporters know that they raped, tortured and murdered Israeli women. Israeli women with man in IDF fighting the evil terrorists.
It's patriotism and survival against vicious enemies that wan't to destroy Israel.
Indeed terrorist and pro terrorist propoganda are calling it all kind of names. IDF stands for Israeli Defence Forces.
With the help of US and other frinds, Israel will be victorious against the evil death cult terrorists.
For a first time in decades Lebanon is having hope for a better future.

Here's my view. Israel has a right to retaliate against the evil Iranian military for firing almost 200 missiles at them a few weeks ago. Israel has a right to try to neutralize and reduce some of the missiles fired at them by Hezbollah from Lebanon. Israel had every right to go into Gaza and try to neutralize Hamas after October 7 when Hamas killed and captured over 1400 Israelis. Israel has gone too far in Gaza like the USA did after 9/11. Iran and their puppets, Hamas, Hezbollah, Houthis, have stated evil intentions that Israel should be destroyed. My concern about Israel is that some in the Israeli government have similar evil intentions about the Palestinians, just not as blatant.

Netanyahu is horrible and bad. It is sad that Netanyahu seems more interested in holding onto power than doing what is best for Israel.

Israel’s military leaders signal their work in Gaza and Lebanon is done. Will Netanyahu listen?
    quote:
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has repeatedly pledged “absolute victory.” His defense minister and longtime political tormentor Yoav Gallant has bristled at that goal. In August, he told a closed-door parliamentary committee meeting that the idea of “absolute victory” in Gaza was “nonsense,” according to Israeli media.
    ...
Gallant has said Hamas and Hezbollah have now been rendered totally ineffective as Iranian proxies.
    ...
And yet Netanyahu has remained defiant.

Bill this is more complex and intervened with Israeli internal politics that I don't understand it well enough, not examined it well.
Gallant is smart to publically cover himself to not be a scapegoat. Bibi tried to remove him twice.
Israel needs to insure it security and ability to monitor their enemies near real time.
After all, Billions of not trillions was invested in terror infrastructure in Gaza with one aim, the destruction of Israel.

Did you know that Bibi was highly concerned about the border with Gaza, and had cabinet meetings with top IDF brass, intelligence and the coalition?
He was getting reports of Hamas not being deterred and was about to cancel his trip, but during those meetings he was assured, that the Hamas is contained, and even on Oct 6th he had a briefing, he was told he can travel safely, was mislead.
Due to the Judicial reform that the Israel was divided and suffering from political mayhem in 2023, there were forces that appear hostile from inside.
The cases against Bibi, partly fabricated, inflated.
The same voices telling Bibi not to go in Rafiah, well, it turned out that taking Rafiah was crucial in getting closer to defeating Hamas, and the only regret is why it wasn't done earlier.

The same "voices" leftists ex PMs, Generals etc were propagating fear from going in to Lebanon and fighting Hezbollah, that Israel will be dealing with 5+ thousand rockets daily from Lebanon, No electricity for months etc.
ISD and Mossad, with the leadership, had a multi-year plan ready for Lebanon, good intelligence and other plans that they didn't have for Gaza.

The court cases against Bibi some are falling apart. There are cracks in the accusations, fabrications and politically motivated influences. Not all of it, there are still serous issues that being litigated but based on interviews with lead prosecutors and other defense experts, from what I listened there are challenges.

I may be wrong, time will show.

The Bibi story sounds like political posturing BS to me.

All pictures I've seen of Gaza show it to be wasteland. I've seen estimates that 70% of the buildings have been destroyed and 19 billion dollars in damage has been done. About 42,000 have been killed in Gaza and about 100,000 injured and maybe 10,000 more buried under the rubble. Most of the population is living like rats, no shelter, no work, no jobs, little food, little medicine, little water. Thinking that Hamas is still a threat to Israel is obviously insane. There's no reason to continue to bomb and kill except for excuses like Palestinian genocide and/or Netanyahu just clinging to power. It is bad for Israel because it is just making people become suspicious or hate Israel. It is making the UN bring charges of genocide against Israel. It is making people like me, who have been very pro Israel in the past, think it's a mistake to continue the USA support of Israel unless things change.

Trump told Bibi that he expects Israel to complete the war in Gaza by the time he resumes the office in Jan 2025.( If he wins)

As to your post, it's well known leftist views, also echoed in Israeli left leaning media.
A lot of it is because of Hamas and Iran.
Billions, if not trillions were invested in terror infrastructure in Gaza, a lot of it under the and in the buildings. From
42,000 catualties, close to 30,000 are Hamas terrorists. There is known # of Hamas battalions that were eliminated.
Finally no rockets are being fired at Israelis in South Israel from Gaza.
The issue now, will Israel resetle Gaza, since they removed some Israeli settlement in 2006, and now thinking Gaza needs to be resettled by Israelis to be buffer zone to cold peace with Egypt who violated agreements and militerized Sinai..
It's a minority view at this time.
Most Israelis will welcome end of war.

As to Bibis trials, I listen directly to 4 different Israeli TV channels.
I think 3 are to the left and one is public gov channel.
There is a chance that some agreement is coming soon.

If you're saying that what I said is because Hamas and Iran have influenced me then I have to admit that you are much further removed from reality than I ever would have guessed.
