Is Steve Levicoff ok?

A thesis covers a very narrow area of your field of study. You could do a dissertation on how different leadership styles impact faculty; that doesn't mean you didn't learn anything else about running an institution. I wrote my capstone about manosphere terrorism. There were many other things I learned in my doctoral program that could not possibly be covered in one thesis, capstone, or dissertation. The class I teach now is unrelated to my study, but I'm qualified to teach it because of the courses I've taken and my work experience.

 

You can easily view the curriculum of an MBA program. I've come across computer science, IT, and accounting programs that could be determined to be weak just by the required courses and available electives. If a computer science program has a curriculum that's similar to an IS or IT program, then that would be a weak program.

One university has a biological sciences program that is nothing but a science education program. It prepares students to teach K-12 biology instead of having college-level biology courses in the curriculum. How would we know that without looking at the curriculum or transcript?
