Is ANY doctorate on par with the PhD?

This is apparently not the case at Oxford, which has a long and detailed list of "Academic Precedence and Standing" for degree holders. I won't show the whole thing, but the following degrees are at the top:

Don't bother asking how Oxford determines their rankings, because I have no idea.

Just speculating here ... could it be that the order is based in the order the degree was added to the university?

I would never assume there is any standardized or unified protocol across all schools.
