As I've mentioned in the past, I am moving from Seattle/Tacoma to Richmond, VA on Saturday (8/26). Woohoo.

Anyhow, we are driving over a period of about six days and so we've been (among so many other things) preparing for our drive. Today I bought this cool little Ipod-for-the-car gizmo made by Monster (the cables folks). It plugs into a power supply (lighter/power outlet) and pumps the Ipod songs and such right into the car stereo. Sweet! The nice thing about this one is that it charges the Ipod at the same time as it transmits to the radio. You can see the details here.

To be honest, when my wife bought me a 30GB Ipod for Christmas, I had no idea what I would do with it. I'm no audiophile, and not a gadget person. But I've found this to be one of the most useful products that I never would have bought for myself. Now I have days and days of music and books on CD to listen to on the trip.

My Pod has changed the way I listen to music forever. I can't imagine life without it now!

Truly the best invention of the 21st century...(so far)
