While looking up other things I discovered that Touro International University's professor of business administration William A. Cohen shows one PhD from Claremont and a second PhD from the "International Academy for Integration of Science and Business."

Dr. Cohen's website shows the IAISB PhD as "honorary," although his TIU faculty listing makes no such distinction.

The IAISB apparently is located in Moscow, Russia. Among its other distinguished PhD graduates are Brigadier General Michael R.S. Teilmann.

Could locate nothing further of substance about the IAISB. Anybody know anything?

    LaRouche web site

There doesn't seem to be much out there. A Google search for "International Academy" + "Integration of Science and Business" turns up a question to Lyndon H. LaRouche reported on LaRouche's site at

    http://www.larouchepub.com/lar/2001/2850lar_pobisk_qanda.html.

    There's a little more here:

    http://www.mtu-net.ru/gorny/@@19/reality.htm

and also a message from its president here:

    http://groups.yahoo.com/group/whirlpower/message/2950?source=1

and something about a conference here:

    http://www.rajon.com/Main_index/World_Noosphere/conference/conference.html

It seems like a sort of utopian group, but not one likely to be sufficiently well organized to deliver curriculum to those sympathetic to their ideas.

Not much else seems to be out there...

Thanks for those tips, galanga. Those posts regarding the alleged "president" of the IAISB proved helpful. Apparently the Cyrillic alphabet can be converted in several different ways, or else there just are a lot of lousy typists out there. The man's last name is shown variously as "Messenzhnik," "Messengnik," "Mesenzhnick" or "Mesenzhnik." Likewise the first name seems to be either "Yakov" or "Jakov."

The bridgeworld.org website shows "Jakov Z. Mesenzhnik" as President of two departments: Russian-speaking Diasporas and
    Problem of Eurasian Jewish Diasporas.

That website also connects to the various World Information Distributed University (WIDU) sites. This is the place where you can obtain that Grand PhD you have always wanted. Noticed only one mention of it in the site search here.

Anyway, it looks at least on the surface like Dr. Mesenzhnik might be running a deal similar to WIDU in Russia. Them Russkies is catchin' on to capitalism right quick.

The question is, does your PhD (or Grand PhD) go boom if, like Dr. Cohen, you already have a real one from somewhere else?
