Philippino professors work for peanuts. The online schools can hire them as easily as they can hire you. As a matter of fact, I do not know why American schools do not.

One of these days someone will open up an "American" online school with all the professors from the third world making third world wages. It is only a matter of time.

I think you totally missed the point. I don't want to work for a school in the Philippines. You're right; they do work for peanuts. That's why it would be beneficial to create an income stream from teaching online through US schools.

 

I don't think this will happen. Students normally pay high tuition fees because the faculty has credible credentials and good image. I think a school would have a hard time selling cheap faculty members to American students. However, some schools don't use faculty to teach courses but only tutors, in this case I'm sure that some of them are already using people from developing countries as tutors.

 

And I thought that UoP pay was low. I guess it can get as low as this if you give it to the right people.
