    My core BSCIS requirements at Excelsior.

    Database Administration.
    Communications Internetworking.
    System Development.
    C++

    And ETCH 236A - Micro processor and computer application from Ohio University.

    Has anyone taken any of the above exams? Can someone please share his or her experience? I've to start working on this test ASAP and I would like to know if someone has taken these exams and if they could share their experience. I've already order the complete study guide from ICCP. Please any info would be greatly appreciated.

    Regards

    Kenny

    IIRC, the ICCP exams were said to be difficult to study for. Difficult to find study material for. In addition to any replies you may want to Google - ICCP site:degreeinfo.com - for old discussions. And you may have to use the cached threads. Hope that helps.

    ICCP sells study guides for the core and specialty exams. The reading for the core exam makes a college economics textbook seem lively and light-hearted bedtime reading. ;-) If you pursue the ICCP certifications beware of the strict time restrictions.

    The discussions I found by searching ICCP site:degreeinfo.com on google is atleast three years old. Where can I find a much recent disscussion on this issue? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

    There hasn't been as much recent discussion of ICCP because ICCP didn't for a time have ACE credit recommendations. Without ACE, the ICCP exams weren't accepted for credit at schools like Excelsior.

    I have no experience with those exams but I recall them being not an easy alternative to tests or courses unless you have extensive experience in what the tests cover.

    You can also search www.degreeforum.com and you may want to check schools like Thomas Edison State College and Empire State College and Fort Hays State University.
