How much do the ICCP specialty exams cost? Excelsior told me they would be $75. The registration form I got from ICCP says they are $129 with the DANTES "discount" I get since I'm active duty.
Greetings. Regardless of how much you have to pay, the cost may (???) be reimbursable via you GI Bill benefits. Alternately, it might not be. <g> You might wish to visit: https://www.gibill2.va.gov/vba/vba.cfg/php.exe/enduser/std_alp.php?p_sid=Zr1RPr-g&p_lva=&p_li=&p_page=1&p_cat_lvl1=%7Eany%7E&p_search_text=certification&p_new_search=1&p_search_type=3&p_sort_by=dflt and/or you base education office. You are lucky to have it at $75 or $129. I paid $195 each exam, which is the regular cost. Good luck.
Yes, ICCP informed me that $195 is the regular price. The $125 is the discounted DANTES rate. As far as I know, MGIB won't cover it, but I'll definitely look into it. I only need to take 3 tests, but 400 bucks is 400 bucks. Thanks.
Greetings. If you do make enquiries as to whether the MGIB will cover the cost of the exams, perhaps you could report back here? Cordially, Richard Kanarek
MGIB will cover the cost of the ICCP exams. The VA has a searchable database which includes some of the certification and licensing exams which fall into the "reimbursable" category. It is located here: http://www.gibill.va.gov/Education/LCweb/search.asp Searching for "ICCP", you can see that ICCP is covered.
ICCP cost I just paid for the CORE exam, and plan to take it Wedneday, March 24th. Cost - $250. If I pass it, as I suspect I will --- I will move on to take another within 2 or 3 weeks. Technically I only need the core and one more to go with the Data Communicaitons I already have....to get the CCP certification. However, the Data Communications was taken at Excelsior and ICCP wants $45 to apply it to my certification. Of course, I am after credits by examination in addition to certification so I will not bother to transfer and pay a fee to get the certification when I can use that money to pay for another exam.
