so why not take on one of the world's toughest math problems. Take your pick: Layer 8: The world's 23 toughest math questions | Network World

Why not take them on? Because I do not enjoy math. I started reading the list of questions and pretty soon my mind began to go "Squirrel".

It's a complex math problem, so it probably requires complex carbs. Therefore, the answer is most likely sweet potato fries.

"Settle the Hodge Conjecture: This conjecture in algebraic geometry is a metaphor for transforming transcendental computations into algebraic ones." I don't even understand the questions

I know! And there was this one "Beyond Convex Optimization: Can linear algebra be replaced by algebraic geometry in a systematic way? " which, I think, is simply a "yes or no" answer. Duh. 50/50 and no one guessed it yet? So, write me down for "yes." You heard it here first.

I actually understood the Occam's Razor question (I think...), but the rest? Squirrel. Or possibly Chimp. These are word problems from hell.....

Wow, these look like Nobel prize material if you can solve them. I'll stick to applied mathematics for now, at least until I have a magical breakthrough in the lab... :scratchchin:
