Wow! Funny, I don't remember enrolling! Lol! All I have to do is register for the classes......
I wonder how many people are suckered into this. Just out of curiosity, I checked out the web site. Very, very slick. Better than some RA, SA or DETC school sites. All the more reason to have an informative forum like this.

This actually sounds like the business directory scams they run out here. Here's how it works:

Someone calls the office asking for confirmation that the company name and contact info. is accurate for ABC Directory. Note that this is an unsolicited call.

Once this is confirmed, an invoice arrives in a few days addressed to Accounts Payable amounting to several hundred dollars. Some companies don't bother to check with other departments to confirm the invoice and just pay it. A directory does eventually show up, but it's equivalent to mail-order catalog, and not even that slick. And, I can tell you, it's definitely not worth the paper the invoice is written on.

FYI, this has also started happening with printer and copier ink cartridges.

Perhaps you should forward a copy of your enrollment message to your local Better Business Bureau. Better yet, if your local government has a complaints hotline, you may want to consider advising them of this scam.
On the lighter side, you could reply to their email by sending them an electronic invoice for $50,000. Ask them to make the check payable to the Minister of Education, Liberia.

Tell them you changed your mind about enrolling and ask for your enrollment fee back, perhaps about $1000. Sound about right to you? :)

Ask them to pay back the "full fees" you paid last week.

You should read Dr. John Bear's book Send This Jerk the Bedbug Letter; How Companies, Politicians, and the Mass Media Deal With Complaints and How to Be a More Effective Complainer . He tells the truth about the BBB. I think you should forget the BBB, you should send it off to your Attorney General and the Alabama Attorney General http://www.ago.state.al.us/ insofar as they are located in Alabama.

It is just this sort of behavior, which if nipped in the bud, may cause them to refrain from further nonsense like this.
