I know there are some threads dealing with the University of South Africa. But how accepted are their degrees [especially (but not only) in theology] in the "academic" world. Do the US consider them equal to RA degrees? Does anyone have information about their international acceptance?
In Canada, South African degrees are accepted in professional associations like engineers. The degree from UNISA would be considered equivalent to a canadian degree for most parts. However, I would expect some difficulties in academia where degrees from England, USA or Australia are normally more accepted. Now, the question is if a degree from UNISA would be more acceptable than a degree from a virtual university like NCU in the academia, I would expect the UNISA degree to perform better but there is no real study that can confirm this.
