You're right. I'm going to try to pursue programs that I like,I just want to keep the cost very low :)
What kind of teaching do you do?

I teach computer science, Spanish and music at a good sized private school in Orange County. When you are ready, you can start a thread asking about the lowest cost bachelors in the field you decide upon. People on this board are often quite in touch with the best deals out there. Just make sure that the school is regionally accredited.

If you mean earn a full degree by only taking courses at one of these schools then it would be quite expensive. Excelsior's degrees are regionally accredited and got me into two graduate programs.

What I suggest is select a degree that suits your needs, review what courses are required, then start taking them at various sources (people here will be pleased to assist you). Don't bother signing up for a degree progam until you have earned most of your course requirements other wise you will have to pay an annual maintenance fee.

I mentioned CLEP and DSST above; they both have test locations in Canada

    CLEP test centers in Canada
    Test Center Search | CLEP

    DSST test centers in Canada
Locate an Institution | DSST | Get College Credit

Please read the articles on the degreeinfo home page for info on DL degrees and ways to earn credit.

My experience at Excelsior was great - I did not take any courses through Excelsior but at 12 or so colleges around the US and UK plus one CLEP test (now you are required to take two courses in residence).
