I've had some experience that suggests that these non-Harvard faculty (who are typically full-time faculty at other local schools) are teaching a course at the Extension school because they really want to teach that particular subject (and they are unable to do so in their own school). In this regard they come across as especially motivated, interested in the subject and interested in other people who are interested in the subject. It worked out great for me.

I had the same experience in the one non-Harvard class I have taken. The complaints I have heard have centered on professionals in the IT program who several people I know felt weren't up to par. Unfortunately I can't provide specific useful information on what classes folks might want to look closely at before taking.

As you may know, Bradner writes a monthly piece for Network World. I never really gave much attention to the wry and cynical column.

After experiencing him and his unique style, it's now the first page I turn to. I read the column out loud to my wife using his voice and mannerisms. She knows nothing about networks but finds it hilarious - in an oddly perverse way.
