I have looked into Southern New Hampshire University's online Grad Cert in Accounting, and it looks pretty good. They do not require a GMAT and they also provide up to 3 foundational courses for anyone lacking a bachelor's in business or accounting related field. I would be required to take 1 of the 3 according to the transcript evaluator. My question is, are there any other online schools that have a Grad Certificate in Accounting which have similar enrollment requirements where a BS in Accounting is not required and have minimum foundational coursework? Just want to cover my options and see if there are any that I've missed.
UMUC offers a Grad Cert in Accounting. http://www.umuc.edu/programs/grad/certificates/accounting.shtml No GMAT, but they require either a minor in accounting at the BA level or 15 hours of undergrad accounting work. If you lack the necessary hours, Penn Foster offers a bunch of accounting courses that are ACE reviewed and will be accepted by UMUC. Pug
