    Hello everyone,

For all of you online instructors that have to grade weekly or bi-weekly papers, I have a question for you.

I currently have about 80 papers a week to grade, and of course this leads me to use a lot of "boiler plate" when leaving feedback. One thing I have not been able to stream line is giving detailed comments using track notes in word. Whenever I leave comments, I find myself rewriting common comments over and over again such as "This is not a correct citation, please check your APA guide for proper format." Although I could have a separate word file to copy and paste from, this is a bit tedious... first, you must locate the little blurb and switching back and forth is time consuming in itself.

My question is, does anyone know of a addon to word that allows you to have stored comments that you can just plug in to papers? I know this would not reduce all of my comments, but it would make it much faster when writing some of the most common pieces of feedback.

OF course, in our underpaid profession, time = money, and this seems like a way that I could save some money while still providing quality feedback.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Yes...here's one.

It's called "texter" and I believe it's free. My hubby suggested it for me grading papers, but I only have 10-30 and not every week so I haven't used it yet. Basically, you type in a word or phrase and it spits out your pre-recorded sentence(s). Here's a blurb on it from lifehacker: Lifehacker Code: Texter (Windows)
