I received this e-mail today. Looks real, but has some stuff that doesn't add up, like dot com address instead of dot edu and the name Tulane but located in New Orleans.

    Any word?

Tulane University is located in New Orleans. They also have a pretty decent Distance Ed program.

One thing is interesting, by checking the whois, i noticed the domain name is owned by a company out of Florida called Bisk Educational services. This is also mentioned on the website itsself..... One would think this might be legitamate, but I would check with the University first.

I received the same e-mail yesterday. My thought is that maybe the MBA certificate did not go over well. At any rate, do a search, there are two seperate threads regarding the MINI MBA.

Bisk is an entirely reputable company that only represents schools with recognized accreditation. We regarded then as a worthy competitor during the seven years that my colleagues and I did marketing for Heriot-Watt University's distance MBA.

    Materials are okay

This isn’t much different than the “graduate” certificates offered elsewhere. I believe H-W has (or had) various management certificate level courses and it’s possible to earn similar certs from Stanford, UCLA and elsewhere.

I actually signed up for the Tulane program and am fairly impressed with the lectures I’ve reviewed so far. The program is a bit pricey at $1,900+ but not out of line with other cert program costs.
