He should have never been the Republican nominee or lieutenant governor. He's loudly been an extremist and a bigot. The party has gone off the deep end.

He has to stay in the race. To drop out now would virtually assure that the state would go to Harris.

If he dropped out, his name would remain on the ballot. The Republicans would be able to nominate another candidate, and that candidate would get votes cast for Robinson, but you can bet it would be lower than if he just stayed in the race. (After all, he's not all that repugnant to North Carolina Republicans who elected him Lt Gov.)

I have to think his dropping out would have a suppressive effect on Republican turnout.

Rumor has it that the North Carolina Republican Party dug up this dirt to compel Robinson to drop out before the deadline to have his name removed from the ballot. He's the candidate NC Republicans deserve. They knew he was deplorable, and he won the primary comfortably. Being worse than Herschel Walker is an amazing feat.

Just reported, Robinson's email address was found on Ashley Madison.

Another rumor swirling around is that Donald is having an affair with self-described white nationalist, Laura Loomer.

    Of course they have.

They must have known what this guy was long before it was revealed publicly. It's not like CNN was the first source of bad info on the guy.

They resigned not because Robinson is a bad dude. They resigned because his badness became PUBLIC. They were fine until their own reputations were put on the line.

Threatening to sue and actually bringing suit are, of course, two entirely different matters.

Bringing suit will also bring depositions and discovery. Threatening to sue is just running to the end of the chain and barking.

The black nazi was offered technical help to find out who was really behind the Naked Africa account, but he turned it down. LOL

The black nazi has reduced his damage claim against CNN from $50 million to $25k. It's believed that this is a tactic to get CNN to settle for less than what their legal fees would be if they decided to go to court. This would allow Robinson to claim some fake victory without having to prove that CNN lied. Robinson previously turned down the assistance of an IT professional who could find out who was behind the posts. ;)

Is there a reverse coat tails effect?

All kind of candidates are running.
Marxists have very strong representation and chance at presidency, on another side there is an echo of 1950s McCarthyism.

Lerner, "Marxist" is not a synonym for "anyone to the left of Trump". The only Marxist running for president is Claudia De la Cruz, who has no chance whatsoever of winning the presidency.

I read that father a professor, was teaching Maxist economy. Marxism is strongly running in the family?
The primary nominee, also hastened to thank the man she called her “spiritual leader,” the Reverend Amos C. Brown, the pastor of San Francisco’s Third Baptist Church. She has been associated with the church for over two decades, and she professed to have frequently turned to Brown over the years for “guidance and support.”.
Not saying it's a bad thing.

So also strong civil rights movement and past radical left views may surface once in the office.

Who are the Marxists? Marxists have almost no representation among elected officials. Fascism is more flexible since it's not centered on economic theory. There's a very good chance that a fascist will win this election, but the closest candidates to Marxism are running on third party tickets, and they have no chance of winning this year.

Oh, my goodness. This is why Republicans are trying to lower the quality of education.

Republicans are not trying to lower the quality of education, they are trying to shield Americans from becoming Soviet Union like country.
Today old immigrants who lived in the 80s Soviet Union recognize some Dems trends, leading to the same.
