At least they're closing their J.D. programs according to Outside the Law Scam. If they didn't, I suppose the ABA would place them on probation (again) for poor Bar results. Also according to OTLSS, GGU is the sixteenth ABA approved law school (counting every campus as a separate school) to close since the late 2010s. I'd say that's about 15% of the number that SHOULD close. Interesting fact if true: OTLSS says that there remain just two operating for profit ABA schools left in the country.
Golden Gate is now seeking to reopen their JD program, this time under Calbar; they had previously been ABA. Golden Gate University seeks California accreditation to reopen law school (Karen Sloan, Reuters, October 7, 2025)
La Verne and Thomas Jefferson both did this. There really shouldn't be much difficulty with the CalBar authorities.
