Waht kind of "professionell" license would you mean, e.g.?

Acutally, you are not allowed by law to "use" your degree for anything if it´s not recognised ("nostrificated") by the federal state office... (not even put it on your business card).

    Greetings,

    Hello,

There is a German website with information about study in the USA: www.studiumusa.de
I've asked them whether a bachelor degree that included examinations like CLEP, DANTES or GRE is accepted in Germany. Read the reply below.
However, there are a few things I would like to highlight:

    1. It says the only thing that matters when it comes to recognition is whether a particular US school is recognized by Germany. And to be (possibly?) recognised in Germany, the US school must be accredited in the USA in the first place..

    2. There is apparently some kind of confusion about GRE being used for credit in undergraduate programs among German academic advisors(and this is not the first time I learn that). It seems they only know about GRE that it is used as proficiency test for Master's programs.

    3. In the USA a bachelor from a prestigious university is recognised as being equivalent to the German Fachhochschulabschluß or sometimes even to the Diplom.
Only, I ask myself, whether Germany is ready to do the same.

    Hallo Dennis,

deine Fragen kann ich folgendermassen zusammenfassned
beantworten.

    xxxxxx

So far then, we have Switzerland with no official policy and indications that institutions in the FRG will accept DL and even examination based bachelor's degrees, as long as they are regionally accredited. Would that be about right?

I've received no reply from Italy yet.

State licenses that a university graduate might have in the USA could be physician, nurse, engineer, accountant, architect, or attorney at law, among others.
