    I don't care how many parties they are, but when it comes time for the final vote, there should be only two parties to choose from IMO.

    Otherwise, often what happens is one party gets screwed in the vote.

    As in the case of the Oregon governor race in which now the Republican gubernatorial candidate is in the lead despite having less than 40% support.

    The Dems will likely get screwed here.

    For statewide positions, ranked choice voting makes more sense than first past the post.
