Former NM Governor Bill Richardson dead at 75

    I really did not like the man personally but he spent much of his time negotiating the release of political prisoners around the world. Interesting fact...born (deliberately and carefully) in the U.S. but raised in Mexico, Richardson was a dual national. He had a very forceful personality and accomplished a great deal at the state and federal levels but there was always a streak of self-promotion that I found off-putting.

    His memory deserves more respect than I gave to him in life. May he rest in peace.

    Kind of comes with the territory at that level, though. I remember thinking he was okay, but that was 15 years ago.
