Anyone know anything about Florida Institute of Technology ? How good are their distance ed Masters programs? Are they accredited? And by whom? Thanks
They are an ICUF school, which is good. Accreditation: Florida Tech is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). The Engineering programs are also accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET). The Computer Science program is also accredited by the Computer Science Accreditation Commission of the Computing Sciences Accreditation Board. Chemistry is also accredited by the Committee on Professional Training of the American Chemical Society. Aeronautical Science and Aviation Management programs are also accredited by the Council on Aviation Accreditation.
I am looking at this school also, I am doing the application process also. I am trying to get into the January 2005 term, I can let you know how everything goes.
I am a graduate of FIT and served on the Alumni Board of Directors from 1994-97. Perhaps I am a bit biased – but I found it to be an excellent school and an outstanding value for the money.
