Florida Atlantic University Low-Res AACSB Executive PhD in Business Administration

There's a new Hybrid Format to Florida Atlantic University's Executive Ph.D. in Business Administration. In this hybrid format, some required synchronous classes can be taken live online, but there are 5 required in-person residency weekends during each year of the three-year cohort program: Two each fall, two each spring, one each summer. FAU is in Boca Raton and is AACSB-accredited.

Executive PhD students focus their research dissertation in one of Accounting, Economics, Finance, Information Technology, Management, or Marketing.

Admission requirements include a master's in any field with no business course prerequisites, and 10 years work experience "plus extensive managerial experience." "Exceptional applicants with a bachelor’s degree, and extensive managerial experience, will also be considered."

In the university catalog, the program is listed as a concentration in the Ph.D. in Business Administration titled "Executive" (in lieu of a traditional concentration title like "Accounting").

Tuition inclusive of fees totals $80 000.

 

Correction, sorry! Five residencies per year for the first two years, then "the third year consists of independent research with limited on-campus visits."
